Large & Unusual Vintage Sterling Silver Kokopelli figure, it mounted on a wooden stand. The Kokopelli is a fertility deity, usually depicted as a humpbacked flute player (often with feathers or antenna-like protrusions on his head), who is venerated by some Native American cultures in the Southwestern United States. Like most fertility deities, Kokopelli presides over both childbirth and agriculture. He is also a trickster god and represents the spirit of music. It is in really excellent condition It is fully hallmarked with the makers mark "BVA", the Sheffield assay mark, the lion passant and date letter "w" for 1996. It is approx. 15.0 cm high including the base. The sculpture weighs 107.4 grams with the stand.
